5 common mistakes people make while using foundations With our first post, we’re going to take you back to the beauty basics that every makeup guru started off with and every beauty stylist counts on- foundation. Here are a few mistakes people make when wearing foundations: 1 Using the wrong color- a common mistake most people make is using a foundation that’s too dark or too light. If you’re unsure of what color to get, try it on your wrist first. If the color is similar to your skin tone, then you’ve found your lucky charm. If not, don’t be afraid to mix two different colors till you get the right one! 2 Only using the foundation on the face- this is a major faux pas!! Don’t forget to use the foundation on your neck as well. Make sure you’ve got an even tone on both your neck and face and that they don’t look like 2 completely different skin tones. 3 Using a foundation that’s not suitable for your skin type- it doesn’t matter whether your skin type is oily, dry, or a combination, as long as you pick a foundation that matches your skin type, you’re good to go! 4 Not moisturizing before using the foundation- make it a habit to always moisturize your face before using a concealer or foundation on your face. If you skip this step, your skin can end up looking flaky, and you’ll definitely regret it as you proceed with your makeup routine. 5 Using foundation to cover up pimples or acne- as tempting as it can be, this is something to definitely avoid. If you use foundation over your pimples, the result is going to be flaky, dry, or cakey skin. Use a concealer instead, We’ll be posting more beauty dos’ and donts’ soon.
